Our keynote speaker on the day was Abdi Aden. He is is a former refugee from Somalia who overcame hardship, violence and isolation to become a youth worker and a speaker. He shared his story of resilience, optimism and social change.

The event was held at Abbotsford convent (Oratory room) on 2.8.2024

We had provided lunch and were lucky to have Marcus. the owner of the cafe in Macleod, being our barista. Michelle hosted and ran an icebreaker game which got excellent feedback when we received the surveys. Lesley-Anne our CEO went through thanking individuals and then went on to explain her top of mind challenges. Feedback from the day from all participants will help us continue to improve the way we provide services.
